SAVING PRIVATE RYAN
The Story:
Props and wardrobe from Saving Private Ryan is generally hard to come by these days.
After production, many of the items used were sent to local militaria vendors, private collectors, various production studio,
or simply tossed out. Most of the vendors quickly resold to re-enactor or placed items on the shelf at normal stock.
We were lucky enough to grab a hold of many items. However, as like many others, we have but only a few items remaining.
Most of the items are marked "US SPR", along with 2 other production marking types. We guarentee even item is from Saving Private Ryan.
If you can prove otherwise, we are prepared to offer a full refund.

US Patches
Patches: After the production, most of the jackets and wardrobe were depatched and dispersed. Many of these patches vanished,
some ended up in the hands of reenactors, but a large majority were found and a friend of mine got ahold of many boxes of stuff used
in the film. I grabbed a couple from him. These even still have the threads in them, from when they were depatched from the uniforms.

U.S. M1 Garand Rifle
U.S. M1 Garand Rifle: This is a rare non-functioning replica of the M1 Rifle, used in the production.
It was manufactured in the 40s originally as WW2 training rifle, so it is weighted and sized accordingly.
Not many survived over the years. It is made of wood and metal and bakelite. In the production of Saving Private Ryan, this training rifle was used
in the water scenes, as they would sink realistically, unlike the studio made foam and resin replicas.

German Rubber Stunt Gasmask Canisters
Gas Mask Cans: These are stunt versions of the actual gear, made of foam rubber as so the actor would not be injured when he
falls on it. A very fine example of motion picture ingenuity!

German Canteens
Props: A very interesting fact about these items: During the production, they ran into a shortage of original German canteens
for all the extras. So a ton of post war, West German canteens were purchased. However, they were all deep blue! The prop crew painted
every one of them brown. All mine have been painted brown, and are intriguing pieces.

German Mess Kits
Props: These are post war mess kits, nearly identical to original WW2 ones. All of them were painted to simulate field use and
burning of the metal. Carried by German extras. Still Usable!
